Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children and their families. The Ranch gives children a safe place to live, learn, and heal. We provide exceptional and innovative trauma-informed care to kids and their families through Residential Treatment Facilities, Outpatient Psychiatric and Psychological Services, and Spiritual Life activities. In addition, Dakota Memorial School provides personalized education for kids who have psychiatric, behavioral, and trauma issues.
At the Ranch, we create dynamic treatment and education plans for children, specific to the needs of each child and their family. Individualized interventions target each child's specific issues and build on their strengths. Each child's treatment team includes experienced professionals in psychiatry, therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, education, wellness, and spiritual life. We also involve family and community supports whenever possible.

Thrift Stores
All proceeds from the thrift stores underwrite residential treatment and education services on the Ranch's three North Dakota campuses. By donating or shopping at one of our eight thrift stores, you’re helping us provide our precious children with the tools they need for hope and healing. Ranch thrift stores also contribute to a cleaner planet by keeping consumer waste out of landfills; and are a major North Dakota employer, paying out nearly $3 million a year in salaries.
Residential Treatment
Residential treatment at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch combines best-in-class psychiatric therapy and innovative Christ-centered trauma-informed care to serve boys and girls with challenging mental, emotional, and behavioral issues resulting from significant trauma, abuse, and neglect. The professional staff at the Ranch use evidence-based and best-practice treatment and education approaches to effectively meet the unique needs of each child served and give them a safe place to live, learn, heal, grow, and find hope.
Dakota Memorial School
Dakota Memorial School is a fully accredited school providing best-in-class, trauma-sensitive, and individualized education for at-risk youth. The professional teaching and support staff at Dakota Memorial School are committed to providing quality education in a safe and secure environment, while focusing on student needs and helping students achieve academic and personal success.
Outpatient Counseling
Dakota Family Services is a group of compassionate, practiced experts providing outpatient behavioral health care for children, adolescents, and adults in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting. Comprehensive psychological and psychiatric services include assessment, evaluation, individual therapy, family therapy, medication management, and psychological testing. Dakota Family Services provides services in Minot, Bismarck, and Fargo, ND.
